Protection Dog Training
Personal protection is a must that will help you keep loved ones and most prized possessions safe in a world plagued with robberies, home invasions, car-jackings, kidnappings, and other violent crimes.
Ask someone what personal protection means, you will get a range of answers including the use of a handgun (which as you know is almost unobtainable for law abiding citizens in Saudi Arabia), installing elaborate security systems, or becoming proficient in martial arts (as you know it is not always possible to find a good instructor in Saudi Arabia.)
Do the above mentioned personal protection means work? In some cases they may work. But crime reports show that even the most complex security system can be bypassed. Hand guns are a safety hazard, your child or spouse may not be able to use it, aside from the fact that in hands of a teenager or young child it may proof fatal to you or anyone of your family members, accidents do happen. In fact many victims often had their own weapons used against them by a person who broke in to their home or a servant that worked in their home.
At PPGS, we feel we have a much better way to provide families, businesses and individuals with personal protection.
The owner of a professionally trained personal protection German shepherd dog has a loyal and obedient companion. That will at a single command, become a total man-stopper, willing to put itself at risk to protect what it regards as its pack (i.e. you and your family). Man by nature fears the sound of a dog barking. A potential attacker would think twice before entering a home when he knows that there is a dog in that home, it is much easier for him to move on to the next door neighbor where he will not face resistance from a formidable strong and alarming opponent. A PPGS trained German shepherd dog will protect your house or business with a determination that no human guard can ever exhibit.
Prey or Object Trained Schutzhund Dogs Are Not Protection Dogs, they cannot be relied upon for real personal protection because they are not trained to protect you.
Defensive Aggression:
The training of Defensive aggression is incorporated into our protection training programs and is comprised of four basic components. Our protection training methods are humane and provide for a good handler and dog relation ship to build upon for life. PPGS training is based on a deep understanding of dog drives and instincts. It must be understood that in order to train a dog in protection it must poses advanced off-leash obedience.
The following strategies are implemented in to our training:
- Imprinting Aggression based on defense.
- Developing and combining natural drives like Prey, Defense, and Fighting Drives
- Intensifying training to bring the dogs natural drives up to the level that surpasses the required seriousness to respond to a threat.
- Developing the dogs fighting skills to achieve effectiveness while confronting an attacker.
A German shepherd dog trained by PPGS as a family protector is obedient, and completely protective of its family and domain.
Our Family Protection Dogs are affectionate, loving family companions. This means guests invited into your home are also accepted on command. This friendly nature continues outside of the home as well (depending on the individual dog temperament). All Family Protectors receive Practical protection training, which means that if at any given moment an attacker threatens you our your family in any given setting the PPGS trained dog will suppress the threat with prejudice.
Advanced Personal Protection Training:
The Family Protection Training Program serves as the foundation for the Advanced Personal Protection Training Program.
The difference in training is:
- House search for intruders.
- Multiple attackers training.
- Biting through an obstacle.
- Developing hard fight drives to manage strong attackers.
PPGS can train your working dog (German shepherd dog, etc.) to become your personal guard. This would greatly be dependent on a complete and thorough evaluation of your dog's temperament. If your dog is not found to be of the temperament that is required for this kind of work we can help you find the right dog.
As everyone has different interests in breeds of dogs and different interests in the level of training they want, it is impossible for us to give rates until we have had an opportunity to test your dog and discuss your situation with you.
By contacting us and speaking with a trainer, we can give you an idea of the cost that this kind of training requires.
We offer two options:
1. Training with you and your dog at your own premises:
This option allows you to directly interact with your dog during training, which eliminates the need for transitioning the dog to your control after training. This option also allows you to have hands on knowledge of how your dog was trained and what to expect from it in terms of performance.
Training cost for this option depends on:
- The drives of the individual dog. (The dog will be tested by our staff to evaluate drives)
- The level of training the dog already has.
- The breed of the dog.
- Dog trainability.
- The dog must poses advanced off-leash obedience.
- The program required.
- Total number of lessons required depends on how fast your dog can progress through the program.
A Training Contract with cost per lesson is available as a guideline.
2. Buying your dog from our affiliate's training kennel in the United States:
This option is geared more towards our high end clients that would like to have a trained dog ready at delivery to perform its prospective tasks.
This option is expensive but worth the price, since this will include finding the right dog for the task you require, training, boarding and feeding your dog.
